Sex and youth
Sex is available nowadays. It is not negative or reprehensible phenomenon. It is a natural need of every person. Sex is an integral part of the modern world.
According to statistics the average age of the first sex experience among boys is 14 years old and 16 years old among girls. But the worst about that is that young people have only rough idea about sexually transmitted diseases and contraception.
There is special campaign drive conducted in schools and Universities. During these campaigns special classes about sex and methods of contraception are given, free condoms are given to all students and the medical tests are held. Such campaign must decrease the number of people who suffer from the results of free sexual relations.
Modern youth doesn't want to take any responsibilities. Some young people don't even want to marry. Therefore they don't need any stable relations and consider sex with a stranger to be normal thing. Such sexual activity causes a lot of problems. And these problems are connected not only with diseases.
The attitude of youth toward sex is different. But in majority of cases young people feel free in sex. They are not ashamed to express their desires in it and to try new styles of sex. This happens thanks to drugs and alcohol. 60% of girls and 70% of guys say that they had sex with a stranger being drunk.
According to psychologists the majority of youth prefers untraditional and original sex. They are not afraid to experience, that is why they try sex with a partner of the same gender, with several partners, etc.
Young people like to risk, but they don't consider the risk while having sex. They don't know the basic information on the problem of AIDS and some information they know is usually false. Some of them think that syphilis may be transmitted only by kissing and sex with a person who suffers from this disease is out of danger.
Sexual revolution was favourable for increase of number of abortions. And 30% of girls who were pregnant and made abortion are under 17. Abortions at such early age may become the reason of infertility and other female disorders. According to statistics 52% of men don't use condoms.
So all campaigns conducted by school administration, mass media, doctors and parents have no results. Young people have only superficial knowledge about contraception and methods to protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases.
But youth has changed the attitude of the world toward sex. Nowadays it is not considered to be shameful and reprehensible. It plays an important role in the life of modern world, as it is used in commercials, in films and literature. In fact, sex is the best way to sell something or to make something popular.
Sex attracts attention of consumer, and it is the most important thing in the modern world of buyers.
