Drugs and youth

The problem of drugs is the global problem of the world. Countries of the whole world try to fight with this problem but there are no results. People still use drugs and sometimes don't even want to quit it.

There are several reasons for using drugs. First of all young people are emotionally unstable. Their psyche is not well formed yet. So, if they are upset they find consolation in drugs. Secondly, drugs are taken to feel pleasure and joy it brings.

The attitude of youth toward drugs is positive, and this is the main problem. According to statistics the majority of youth has tried light drugs and more than 40% want to try more serious drugs.

Youth is not afraid of consequences that drugs may have. They don't worry about it at all, as they think only abut pleasure drugs may bring. Unfortunately, young people don't have any problems to buy the necessary drug. Drugs may be bought just in the street near the Police Office.

Of course countries of the world try to take measures and control this situation, but it doesn't work. Young people still take drugs that may also be the reason for AIDS and other blood transmitted diseases. Syringes used by drug addicts are not changed. Sometimes a group of 5 and more drug addicts may use one syringe. And if one of them has AIDS, others will get it too.

The same problem is with the use of condoms. Young people don't use condoms when they have sex, and AIDS may be also sexually transmitted. The result – is a great number of infected.

Night life and discos, where youth is not controlled by adults are favourable for the development of this problem. Of course there are young people who hate drugs and would never try them. But there are few of them.
